PRIVATE STARGAZING EXPERIENCES IN ZION NATIONAL PARK
Spend a Magical Evening Under the Stars in Southern Utah
Southern Utah is home to some of the darkest, most spectacular night skies in the United States - and Zion National Park sits at the heart of it. Far from city light pollution, the skies above the red rock canyons come alive after dark with countless stars, the Milky Way and celestial wonders that most people never get the chance to see.
At Cosmic Adventure Co., we offer private guided stargazing tours designed to transform a night under the stars into one of the most memorable experiences of your entire trip. Whether you’re visiting Zion with your partner, family or a small group of friends, our tours are completely exclusive - reserved just for you.
What’s Included in OUR Stargazing Experience:
• Expert guidance from a knowledgeable astronomy guide who will walk you through the night sky, teach you to identify constellations and share the ancient myths and stories behind them.
• Professional telescope viewing through our Celestron 8” Dobsonian telescope - one of the finest instruments for deep-sky observation, giving you stunning views of planets, nebulae, star clusters and more.
• Live images of deep space objects through our Seestar digital telescopes - included in the photo gallery of your experience.
• Astrophotography portraits of your group - we capture breathtaking photos of your group beneath the stars, creating lasting memories of your time in Zion.
• Delicious hot chocolate to keep everyone warm and cozy as the desert night air cools around you.
Why Stargazing in Zion Is Unlike Anywhere Else
Zion National Park and the surrounding region are recognized for exceptionally low light pollution. The area sits near several designated International Dark Sky Parks, making it one of the premier stargazing destinations in the American Southwest. On a clear summer night - which is most nights in this high-desert climate - you can see the full arc of the Milky Way with the naked eye.
Our stargazing experience takes place at a carefully chosen, off-the-beaten-path location in a part of Zion that most people don’t get to see. There’s nothing quite like lying on the earth beneath the stars with the silhouette of ancient sandstone cliffs framing the horizon.
100% Private - Just Your Group
Unlike public stargazing tours, every experience we offer is completely private. That means no strangers. No crowds. And no weirdos other than your own. Just your people, Zion’s beautiful night sky and a guide who is fully present for your evening. This makes our tours ideal for romantic date nights, anniversary celebrations, honeymoons, family vacations and milestone trips.

What People Are Saying
“Cosmic Adventure Co.’s stargazing experience was a life changing and transformative moment for our family of 5. Arriving at the top of the mesa at the trailhead in the dark, we did not know what to expect. what transpired was beyond our wildest expectations. Informative and beautiful, they led us through an exploration of the night sky, complete with telescopic viewings and cosmic photography. Tyler does truly amazing photographic work. This is an experience you didn’t know you needed and should NOT miss! Being able to see the Milky Way with the naked eye, complete with meteor shower… This was an experience of a lifetime!!”

"We did the yoga and stargazing experience outside Zion with our family (me, my husband, and our two daughters), and it was such a fun, relaxing evening! Started with easy sunset yoga amid those stunning red cliffs - the instructor made it super chill and kid-friendly, and the kids actually joined in with smiles and giggles. The sound bath part was the absolute highlight - those chimes and bowls echoing off the rocks were incredible and so soothing. The whole family just zoned out and loved it; even the kids stayed calm and peaceful. After dark, we got comfy on blankets and loungers for stargazing. The guide pointed out cool constellations and planets. The sky was clear and full of stars - beautiful views through the telescopes. It was a perfect low-key family activity: no crowds, great energy, and super connected to nature. The sound bath alone made it worth every penny - we'd do it again in a heartbeat. Thanks to the team for keeping it awesome and welcoming for kids!"

“If you're thinking about booking a stargazing experience, don't hesitate this was one of the highlights of our Utah roadtrip. Tyler and Jae were incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and made astronomy easy to understand, even for complete beginners like us, They took the time to answer every question and made the entire experience fun engaging and unforgettable. Looking at the stars, nebulae, and planets through professional telescopes was absolutely breathtaking and to make it even more special they captured stunning photos of us under the Milky Way that we'll treasure forever. Their professionalism, enthusiasm, and attention to detail made the entire evening feel magical. If you want an experience that combines science, adventure, and pure wonder, this is it. Thanks for an unforgettable night under the stars! ✨️🌙”
