Private Stargazing Experiences in Zion National Park
Spend a Magical Evening Under the Stars in Southern Utah
Southern Utah is home to some of the darkest, most spectacular night skies in the United States - and Zion National Park sits at the heart of it. Far from city light pollution, the skies above the red rock canyons come alive after dark with countless stars, the Milky Way and celestial wonders that most people never get the chance to see.
At Zion Canyon Light, we offer private guided stargazing tours designed to transform a night under the stars into one of the most memorable experiences of your entire trip. Whether you’re visiting Zion with your partner, family or a small group of friends, our tours are completely exclusive - reserved just for you.
What’s Included in Your Stargazing Experience:
• Expert guidance from a knowledgeable astronomy guide who will walk you through the night sky, teach you to identify constellations and share the ancient myths and stories behind them.
• Professional telescope viewing through our Celestron 8” Dobsonian telescope - one of the finest instruments for deep-sky observation, giving you stunning views of planets, nebulae, star clusters and more.
• Astronomy binoculars for wide-field sky sweeping that reveals the richness of the Milky Way and surrounding star fields.
• Astrophotography portraits of your group - we capture breathtaking photos of your group beneath the stars, creating lasting memories of your time in Zion.
• Complimentary hot chocolate to keep everyone warm and cozy as the desert night air cools around you.
Why Stargazing in Zion Is Unlike Anywhere Else
Zion National Park and the surrounding region are recognized for exceptionally low light pollution. The area sits near several designated International Dark Sky Parks, making it one of the premier stargazing destinations in the American Southwest. On a clear summer night - which is most nights in this high-desert climate - you can see the full arc of the Milky Way with the naked eye.
Our tours take place in carefully chosen locations that maximize your view of the night sky while keeping you close to the beauty of Zion’s landscape. There’s nothing quite like lying back under the stars with the silhouette of ancient sandstone cliffs framing the horizon.
100% Private - Just Your Group
Unlike group stargazing tours, every experience we offer is completely private. No strangers. No crowds. Just your people, the sky and a guide who is fully present for your evening. This makes our tours ideal for romantic date nights, anniversary celebrations, honeymoons, family vacations and milestone trips.

What People Are Saying
"We did a lot of great activities in Zion but the Most memorable was the time we spent with Cosmic Flow. We did the meditation + Yoga + sound healing. Jaechon had everything set up at the top of the mountain by the time we arrived and it was perfection. We also added a star gazing experience that was super fun and educational for our kids. We will recommend this to anyone traveling to Zion, as it is one of the most unique memorable experiences we have experienced on vacation."

"We did the yoga and stargazing experience outside Zion with our family (me, my husband, and our two daughters), and it was such a fun, relaxing evening! Started with easy sunset yoga amid those stunning red cliffs - the instructor made it super chill and kid-friendly, and the kids actually joined in with smiles and giggles. The sound bath part was the absolute highlight - those chimes and bowls echoing off the rocks were incredible and so soothing. The whole family just zoned out and loved it; even the kids stayed calm and peaceful. After dark, we got comfy on blankets and loungers for stargazing. The guide pointed out cool constellations and planets. The sky was clear and full of stars - beautiful views through the telescopes. It was a perfect low-key family activity: no crowds, great energy, and super connected to nature. The sound bath alone made it worth every penny - we'd do it again in a heartbeat. Thanks to the team for keeping it awesome and welcoming for kids!"

"I booked yoga and stargazing for my family after attending a session at our hotel. It was an incredible addition to our Zion adventure! Jaechon made the experience so enjoyable and Tyler was a great stargazing guide. We have gorgeous pictures to remember the special night! Highly recommend!!!"
